It's International Older People's Day on Sunday 1st October 2017. Age-Friendly Manchester has planned two special events on the 4th October to mark and celebrate International Older People's Day.
During the morning, the Age-Friendly Manchester Older People's Board will attend the Full Council meeting to recognise and award two Honorary Board Members, Val Stevens and Kate Torkington.
You will be able to watch Full Council live via this link.
During the afternoon, the Age-Friendly Manchester team will launch an updated Ageing Strategy for the City, with an event in the Manchester Art Gallery.
You will be able to hear more about the two Honorary Board Members and read the refreshed ageing strategy in an e-bulletin following the days events.
