Launch of Age-Friendly Wythenshawe Network

June saw the launch of the Age Friendly Wythenshawe Network, attended by the Lord Mayor of Manchester.

The launch event at the Wythenshawe Forum Centre was followed by a fun-packed-fortnight of activities and events, designed to showcase the diverse range of things to do for the over 50s.

Highlights included the Dementia Friendly Day Club, Tai Chi, Easy Rhythms Classes, Chess, Chatty Crafters, Murder Mysteries, Indoor Bowling, Art Classes, Coffee Mornings, Wheelchair Dancing, IT Sessions, History Groups, Afternoon Tea, Indoor Bowling, Sequence Dancing, Zumba and Martial Arts... to name just a few!

The Network has been established to make Wythenshawe a better place to grow old. What a fantastic start!

Learn more about the Network here, and email to share your ideas and get involved.
